XecurePay is a 3-D Secure settlement solution designed to secure online payments using Visa. XecurePay, unlike other 3-D Secure products, is the world's first PKI-based 3-D Secure solution that supports both ID/password and public certificate methods. XecurePay ACS passed the Visa compliance test in February 2003. Functionalities XecurePay Enrollment Server This solution allows credit card holders to enroll their passwords or public certificates when registering for VISA 3-D Secure payment service. Cardholder's must first enroll their authentication information to use the VISA 3-D Secure payment service. XecurePay ACS This solution manages the card holder authentication process. A cardholders requests to make a payment will prompt the MPI to activate the ACS authentication process. ACS directly communicates with the cardholder to authenticate the user. ACS keeps data logs of all authentication requests in the Visa directory server so that any potential disputes can be resolved. XecurePay ACS Manager A web-based GUI administrator tool to control XecurePay ACS. XecurePay MPI (Merchant Plug-In) MPI is a plug-in module composed of various libraries that can be easily installed into merchants' websites. MPI contacts the Visa directory server to request that it find the issuer of the credit card number entered during the payment process. MPI directly communicates with the ACS of the issuer to authenticate the user.
